Advice Process

How Our Process Works

We follow a clear and structured process designed to help you make confident, informed decisions about your financial future. Our approach is transparent, practical, and tailored to your unique goals, values, and stage of life.

Whether you’re planning for retirement, building wealth, managing a defined benefit scheme, or navigating Centrelink entitlements — our advice process is built around your needs. We take the time to understand what matters most to you, then develop thoughtful, strategic recommendations to support your goals now and into the future.

You’ll always know what to expect at each stage, including the scope of work and any associated costs. There’s no obligation to proceed beyond each step, and we’ll only recommend advice if it’s appropriate for your circumstances. Our process is designed to give you clarity, control, and lasting peace of mind — with advice that evolves as your life does.

Step 1: Introductory Call (Complimentary)

We begin with a no-obligation ~20-minute phone or video call designed to understand your circumstances, explore your financial goals, and determine whether financial advice is appropriate for your situation. This call also gives you the opportunity to ask questions about our services, understand how we work, and decide whether we’re the right fit for your needs — with no pressure to proceed further.

Step 2: Discovery Meeting

In this session, we take a deeper look at your financial position, aspirations, and personal preferences. The $440 fee (including GST) covers a comprehensive 60–90 minute meeting designed to uncover what matters most to you — whether that’s preparing for retirement, growing your investments, protecting your family, or improving cash flow.

We’ll use this time to explore your financial goals in detail, identify key areas where advice may be beneficial, and clarify the scope of any personal advice you may need. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask specific questions and better understand how our advice process works.

If personal advice is appropriate, we’ll clearly explain the next steps — including the cost to prepare a tailored Statement of Advice (SoA) — so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.

Step 3: Personalised Advice Document

We prepare a tailored Statement of Advice (SoA) that outlines clear, specific recommendations based on your personal circumstances, financial goals, and preferences. This document explains the rationale behind each strategy, including how it supports your objectives and any associated risks or alternatives. We present the advice in plain language, walk you through each section, and ensure you fully understand your options. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and take the time you need to make informed decisions.

Please note: A fixed fee will apply for the preparation of your personalised advice document. This cost will be clearly outlined and agreed with you before we proceed
.

Step 4: Implementation Support

If you decide to proceed with the recommended advice, we’ll take care of the practical steps needed to put your strategy into action.

This includes preparing and managing paperwork, submitting applications, and liaising directly with superannuation funds, investment platforms, insurers, or other product providers on your behalf. Where appropriate, we also coordinate with other professionals you may work with, such as your accountant or solicitor, to ensure all aspects of your plan are aligned. Our goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible, keeping you informed every step of the way.

Please note: an additional fee may apply for implementation, depending on the complexity of your strategy. This will be discussed with you upfront before any work proceeds.

Step 5: Ongoing Advice (Optional)

Financial advice is not a one-off event — it’s an ongoing journey. As your circumstances, legislation, or priorities change, having a trusted adviser to guide and adjust your strategy can make a meaningful difference.

Our ongoing advice service is designed to provide structure, accountability, and confidence over time. This may include regular check-ins, strategy reviews, portfolio oversight, legislative updates, and advice on new financial decisions as they arise.

While this service is entirely optional and tailored to your needs, many of our clients choose to stay engaged to ensure their plan remains aligned, optimised, and responsive to change. It’s about giving you peace of mind — knowing your financial future is actively supported and professionally managed.
